DOWNTOWN — "Chicago Fire" is bringing more drama to the Loop Monday, this time with a wrecked school bus full of teenagers in distress.

The popular NBC show was filming a scene Monday morning at Lake Street and Garland Court. By about 10:30 a.m. crews were shooting actress Monica Raymund as she escorted children out of a smoky school bus that collided with an SUV near the Downtown intersection.

Production assistants were telling pedestrians to move along, but plenty still hovered near the scene to take photos:

Traffic is blocked on Lake between Michigan and Wabash as filming continues. Now one of NBC's most popular dramas and a familiar sight Downtown, "Chicago Fire" will return for a fifth season Oct. 11.
