Roseland Shooting Kills Tabari Freeman, 20, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was shot to death in Roseland on Friday night, police said.

At 6:15 p.m., officers responding to a call of shots fired found the man lying on the ground in the 10700 block of South Edbrooke, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was unresponsive and had been shot in his head and chest, Estrada said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Tabari Freeman, of the 7500 block of South Whitcomb Street.

No one was in custody in the shooting and no further information was available.
