CANARYVILLE — Have you seen people tearing through the neighborhood on four-wheelers and popping wheelies in the street?
If so, the Canaryville Improvement Association wants you to call the police.
"They are out of control," said Janet McCormick, an association member, at Wednesday night's CAPS meeting at St. Gabriel Church. "They're on their back wheels, going 40, 50 miles an hour down the street. It's not safe for any of us."
Illinois laws on all terrain vehicles, or ATVs, are some of the least restrictive in the United States, according to the Associated Press, but all riders must have a driver's license and carry insurance.
"They need to be stopped," McCormick said. "This is ridiculous."
