WICKER PARK — Several major streets in and around Wicker Park's main hub will be closed to car parking and vehicular traffic for this weekend's Wicker Park Fest, organizers of the annual street party said Tuesday.

Cars parked on side streets near Milwaukee Avenue, such as Wood, Beach, Honore, Evergreen and Wolcott will get towed if not moved, the festival organizers warn.

Wicker Park Fest runs along the 1300 to 1600 blocks of Milwaukee Avenue between North and Damen avenues on Saturday and Sunday. Parking restrictions are set to begin 8 a.m. Friday and end 5 a.m. Monday.

Fest goers are encouraged to bike to the fest, walk, or take public transit. The CTA Milwaukee No. 66 Milwaukee bus will be rerouted around the festivities.

Check out the map, below, for more information on where not to park. Expecting to draw some 70,000 people, the fest highlights 35 bands on three stages, a dedicated kid's fest, food vendors, retail kiosks, art installations and more.
