NEAR WEST SIDE — Full Blue Line service was restored Monday afternoon after a piece of debris from the adjacent Eisenhower Expy. landed on the tracks and caused a train to derail, police said.

No one was reported hurt in the accident, but service on that leg of the Blue Line was suspended, CTA officials said.

The train went off the track after a piece of debris fell into the train's path from the Eisenhower Expressway, according to Chicago Police.

Service has been suspended between the Illinois Medical District station and the Pulaski station, officials said.

Power was shut off between the two stations and a shuttle is being arranged to shepherd passengers along the route by bus, officials said.
