Loyd Daniel, 19, Shot To Death While Driving In Austin, Police Say

AUSTIN — A 19-year-old man died after being shot while driving in Austin on Saturday night, police said.

Around 8:45 p.m., the man was driving in the 4900 block of West Augusta Boulevard when he was shot three times in his shoulder, according to a preliminary police incident report.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said. He was later pronounced dead.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Loyd Daniel, of the 1200 block of South Independence Avenue.

No one is in custody, police said.
