ENGLEWOOD — Two shootings left three men wounded in Englewood between Monday and early Tuesday, police said.
Most recently, around 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, a 46-year-old man was standing in the 6600 block of South Oakley Avenue with two other men when someone walked up, pulled out a gun and announced a robbery, police said.
The men ran, and the robber fired, hitting the 46-year-old in his abdomen, police said.
The man was brought to Stroger Hospital, where he was "stable," police said.
At 4:20 p.m. Monday, two men, 24 and 29, were driving in the 6900 block of South Ashland Avenue when someone drove alongside them and opened fire, according to Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The 29-year-old was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center with a gunshot wound in his left leg, Zala said.
The 24-year-old was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital after being shot in his back, Zala said.
Police could not provide the men's conditions but said they were both "stable."
Police said both men are documented gang members.
No one is in custody, police said.
