WICKER PARK — Fans of the beloved 1990s sitcom "Saved by the Bell" will not only be able to eat at a re-creation of the show's diner, but they can meet their favorite TV principal in the process.

Actor Dennis Haskins will reprise his role as Mr. Belding for a one-day only visit to Wicker Park's "Saved by the Max," the pop-up diner made to look like the main hangout spot for the show's main characters.

Mr. Belding will be at the diner on July 17, the same day that the diner will again begin serving brunch, the diner's owners said in a news release.

Fans hoping to meet Mr. Belding can make reservations starting at 11 a.m. Friday at savedbythemax.com. Tickets are $35 per person and brunch will be served that day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saved by the Max, 1941 W. North Ave., opened in early June and originally had planned a three-month run but has since expanded its stay until the end of August.
