By  Kelly Bauer and Evan F.  Moore | July 2, 2016 8:34am

CHICAGO — A shooting on the edge of West Town and Humboldt Park left one man dead and another wounded early Saturday, police said.

At 3:30 a.m., a 32-year-old man was in the 700 block of North California Avenue when a man walked up and fired shots, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in his neck and was pronounced dead at the scene, Lemmon said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Hector Badillo, of the 400 block of North Trumbull Avenue.

A 44-year-old man was driving by during the shooting and was hit in his leg. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Lemmon said.

No one was in custody in the shooting.
