ALBANY PARK — Architects have proposed revisions to Chicago's building code that would ultimately allow for more uses of the city alleys, but one resident has jumped the gun and turned an Albany Park back street into an art gallery.
A DNAinfo reader alerted us to these brightly painted canvases on display in the 3200 block of West Sunnyside Avenue.
Because who needs picture frames when you have a utility pole?
The creator of the unsigned works is a mystery, but regardless of the paintings' origin, they're definitely an upgrade over more typical pole postings — no offense to whomever designed the city's rat abatement notices — and spruce up an otherwise drab passageway.
