Uptown Shooting Wounds Man, 18, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting Wednesday night in Uptown left an 18-year-old man wounded, police said.

At 10:15 p.m., the man was standing in the street in the 1200 block of West Ainslie Street when a dark-colored SUV passed by and someone inside the car fired shots, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in the left leg. he was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he was in good condition, Pacheco said.

No one was in custody in the shooting.
