HERMOSA — Separate shootings in Humboldt Park and Hermosa left two men wounded within 15 minutes of each other early Wednesday morning, police said.

First, around 12:30 a.m., an 18-year-old man was walking in the 2900 block of West Walton Street in Humboldt Park when shots rang out and he was struck, according to Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man brought himself to Norwegian Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Amezaga said.

Then, at 12:45 a.m., a 26-year-old man was standing on a porch in the 4300 block of West Palmer Street in Hermosa when someone shot at him from a passing black Nissan Pathfinder, police said.

The man was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he was in good condition with a gunshot wound in his right leg, Amezaga said.

No one is in custody, police said.
