Thief Targeting Unlocked Vehicles In Beverly, Police Say

BEVERLY — Beverly residents are being warned to lock their cars after five auto break-ins this month, police said in a community alert Tuesday.

A thief has been pulling on car door handles between 2-5 a.m. Upon finding an unlocked vehicle, the thief steals items from inside, according to the alert from police in the Morgan Park District.

The break-ins occurred in the:

• 10300 block of South Walden Parkway

• 9800 block of South Bell Avenue

• 10000 block of South Bell Avenue

• 10100 block of South Leavitt Avenue

• 10500 block of South Oakley Avenue

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call detectives at 312-747-8273.
