Andersonville Sidewalk Sale Returns To Clark Street In July

ANDERSONVILLE — Twenty-nine local businesses will team up for Andersonville's annual sidewalk sale next month.

From July 22-24, merchants will line Clark Street between the 5000 and 5800 blocks with bargain goods, fashion, antiques, personal fitness offers and service specials. This year's sale includes Orange Shoe Personal Fitness, a personal training and in-home coaching business opening at 5607 N. Clark St., according to a news release for the event.

The locally owned store offers "the most personalized fitness program in the city" allowing customers to bring the workout anywhere, owner Ted Fournier said.

"We’re looking forward to offering Sidewalk Sale visitors discounted rates for both our current in-home training service and for our studio that's expected to open early fall," he said. "A healthy neighborhood is a productive and happy neighborhood."

Other participating businesses include Akira, Andersonville Antiques, Brimfield, Crossroad Tradings, Jameson Loves Danger, Mercantile M, Notice, The Runner's Edge, Scout, Terry's Toffee and The Wooden Spoon.

Alamo Shoes, 5321 N. Clark St., will open a day early for the sale.

The sale also coincides with Women and Children First Bookstore's used book sale, which the store's Women's Voice's Funds that helps supports feminist programming. The sale takes place on Saturday and Sunday.
