LAKEVIEW — Mexican-American cocktails and cuisine are headed to Lakeview in September under the sign of Tuco & Blondie, the 4 Star Restaurant Group announced Monday.

The cantina-style restaurant will include a bar, "indoor patio" and courtyard, holding 250 seats and stretching around 3,000 square feet. It will take the place of Justin's, which closed in January, at 3358 N. Southport Ave.

Head Chef Todd Stein promises "the best chicken salad you will ever eat," along with margaritas and other cocktails spun off from the Clint Eastwood classic "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," which inspired the restaurant's name, according to a release.

Tuco & Blondie's design will hearken to the Old Southwest, with "exposed brick walls" and "pops of color throughout," the announcement read.

No opening date is set, but restaurateurs are aiming to start serving in September, a spokesman said.
