Englewood Shooting Leaves Man Wounded, Police Say

ENGLEWOOD — A 24-year-old man was shot in his face in Englewood early Monday afternoon, police said.

Around 12:20 p.m., the man was standing in the 7000 block of South Halsted Street when someone walked up and shot him, according to Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Tannehill said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

No one is in custody, police said.
