DOWNTOWN — It's going to be hot and rainy in the city this week.
Tuesday's rain is expected to hit after 2 p.m., though the storm won't be severe, said AccuWeather meteorologist Paul Walker. Temperatures will be in the low 80s, Walker said. It will be cooler along the lakefront, where temperatures should peak in the mid-70s.
Wednesday will be hotter, wetter and more humid: The city will see temperatures in the upper to mid-90s, and strong storms are expected to hit in the morning, Walker said. The storm could have heavy rains, hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph.
There could be a rain shower early Thursday, but otherwise it will be a cooler, dry day, Walker said.
The city could get ¼- to ½-inch of rain, but there's a chance that areas hit hard by thunderstorms will get 1-1.5 inches, Walker said.
