COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — A convicted sex offender filmed at least four boys using urinals at Wrigley Field during Saturday's Cubs game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, prosecutors said.

Nichols Gregor, 37, was arrested about 3:50 p.m. Saturday after a Winnetka man noticed Gregor acting suspiciously near the man's 12-year-old son, who was using a urinal in a men's restroom at the time, court records show.

Gregor was holding a black object the size of an iPhone and standing so close to the boy that "a few times he rubbed shoulders" with the child, Assistant State's Attorney Marilyn Salas-Wail said during a bond hearing Tuesday.

When police arrested Gregor, they found multiple explicit videos of men and boys using the urinals at Wrigley Field, 1060 W. Addison St., between 1:45 p.m. and 3:25 p.m. Saturday, prosecutors said.

At least four videos depict minor children, according to Salas-Wail.

Gregor, who lives in suburban Villa Park, was previously convicted in 2011 of filming a 14-year-old boy in a bathroom and filming boys inside a recreation center, prosecutors said.

He now faces charges of unauthorized videotaping by a sex offender and is being held without bail pending trial.

According to prosecutors, Gregor's recording came to an abrupt halt Saturday when a 46-year-old Winnetka man and his family decided to leave Wrigley Field during the game's eighth inning.

The man and his 12-year-old son stopped by a men's restroom, where the man washed his hands and the boy headed to a urinal, Salas-Wail said.

That's when the father noticed Gregor standing very close to the 12-year-old boy. According to prosecutors, Gregor carried a waist-high black bag that was pointed toward the boy's groin.

When the father confronted Gregor, Gregor fumbled with the device in his hand and eventually said, "I didn't take any pictures," according to an arrest report.

The father and a witness were able to detain Gregor until police arrived, Salas-Wail said.

Officers on the scene recovered a cellphone, a digital recording device and two cameras, court records show.

Police found multiple videos, each five minutes or less, shot near or inside men's restrooms at Wrigley Field, according to authorities. Gregor's face can be seen in several videos, adjusting the camera. The videos show men and boys urinating in urinals and stalls, Salas-Wail said.

The 12-year-old boy was not filmed.

Cook County Judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil on Tuesday ordered Gregor held without bail.
