Man Shot, Critically Wounded On Porch In Bridgeport, Police Say

BRIDGEPORT — A 36-year-old man was critically hurt after being shot in Bridgeport early Sunday morning, police said.

Around 3 a.m., the man was standing on the back porch of a house in the 600 block of West 28th Street when several shots rang out, according to Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds, Lemmon said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.
