Woman Was Drunk When She Crashed Car With Three Kids Inside, Police Say

PORTAGE PARK — A drunken Belmont Cragin woman had three kids in her car when she crashed into a parked car and then a light pole near Six Corners, police said.

Samantha Quinones, 24, was charged with drunken driving, three counts of child endangerment and several traffic violations.

Police said she hit a parked car and a light pole while headed west in the 4900 block of West Irving Park Road near Lamon Avenue just before 3 a.m. Monday.

Quinones was arrested and after the investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol was taken to the hospital, police said. The children were also hospitalized.

No information was available on the condition of the children, police said.

Quinones is scheduled to appear in traffic court on June 27.
