Auburn Gresham Shootings Wound 2 Sunday, Police Say

CHICAGO — Two separate Auburn Gresham shootings wounded a 23-year-old man and a 20-year-old man on Sunday, according to police.

At noon on Sunday, the 20-year-old man was in the 8500 block of South Ashland Avenue when shots rang out and he felt pain, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was struck in his arm and was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital in good condition, Tannehill said.

At 4 p.m. Sunday, a 23-year-old man was in the 1200 block of West 85th Street when he was shot, Tannehill said. He was struck in his right thigh and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in unknown condition, she said.

No arrests have been made in either case.
