BUCKTOWN — A man who stole a car in Bucktown late Monday night is now facing criminal charges, police said.

At 11:28 p.m. Monday, officers saw Jovany Flores, 32, inside a car that "did not belong to him" in the 2300 block of West Wolfram Street, police said.

When officers approached Flores, he "became upset and irritated" and "began to fight the officers," police said.

After a brief struggle that left the arresting officers with minor injuries, Flores was taken into custody and charged.

Flores, of the 4400 block of West Diversey Avenue, is charged with burglary, aggravated battery of a peace officer and resisting arrest.
