CHATHAM— A shooting in Chatham left a man dead Saturday, police said.
At 3 a.m., a 35-year-old man was found in the back of a residence in the 7900 block of South Ellis Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
THe man was taken to Jackson Park Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:22 a.m., Estrada said. Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Michael Wickliffe, of the 5700 block of Vine St in Harvey, IL.
No one is in custody for the shooting, Estrada said.
