Chicago Lawn Burglars Breaking Into Homes Through Windows, Police Warn

CHICAGO — Burglars in Chicago Lawn have been breaking into homes through windows to steal property, according to police.

At least two homes in the area have been burglarized since May 10, police said in a community alert issued Thursday.

The first reported burglary happened at 8:30 a.m. May 10 in the 3500 block of West 75th Place, police said. The second incident happened Monday at 9:25 a.m. in the 3500 block of West 76th Place, police said.

Police do not have a physical description of the robbers. They have asked residents to lock their windows as well as immediately fix any broken windows or doors.
