Man Knocks Woman Out, Sexually Assaults Her In Brighton Park, Police Say

BRIGHTON PARK — Police are asking residents to help them find a man they said sexual assaulted a 37-year-old woman in Brighton Park Sunday, according to a community alert.

Around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, he woman was walking in the 4300 block of South Sacramento Avenue when a man drove up in a black Pontiac and began talking to her. He then got out of his car, held a cloth over her face and sexually assaulted her.

The woman fell unconscious and woke up inside the man's car, police said. Once she was conscious, the man pointed a gun at her and told her to leave.

Police described the suspect as a 40-year-old Hispanic man wearing a black hat with red lettering and a diamond stud earring in each ear.
