ROSCOE VILLAGE — Motorists who've been braving the ongoing Western-Belmont viaduct replacement project might want to rethink their route this week.
Sewer work at the intersection will require additional lane closures and detours:
• Monday and Tuesday, Belmont will be reduced to a single lane in each direction through the Western intersection, with left turns restricted.
• Wednesday through the remainder of the week: Westbound traffic on Belmont and Clybourn won't be allowed through the Western intersection. A detour will take motorists north onto Western (already down to one lane), west on Roscoe and south on Campbell back to Belmont. Eastbound traffic will be permitted through the intersection but left turns will be restricted.
