Near West Side Shooting Leaves 2 Wounded

NEAR WEST SIDE — A 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were shot and wounded on the Near West Side Saturday night, police said.

Around 9 p.m., two males were walking in the 2100 block of West Warren Boulevard when someone shot at them from a passing light-colored vehicle, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

The 18-year-old was shot in his hip, Estrada said. The 15-year-old was shot in his chest, leg and arm.

Both males were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said, where they were listed as "stable."

No one is in custody, police said.
