CHICAGO — Shootings in Englewood left two women wounded on Friday, police said.

• At 8:40 p.m., a 53-year-old woman was on a porch with a group of people in the 5700 block of South Morgan Street when someone fired shots from a gray car, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The woman was hit in her back and twice in her left arm. She was taken to Stroger Hospital, where her condition was not released but she was listed as "stable," Estrada said.

The shooting might be gang-related as several gang members were at the scene of the shooting, police said.

• At 6:18 p.m., a 27-year-old woman was a passenger in a car in the 1600 block of West 68th Street when she was shot in her back, Estrada said.

The woman was taken to Holy Cross Hospital and then transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition was not released but she was listed as "stable," Estrada said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
