CHICAGO — Those seeking some nostalgic fun at Wicker Park's "Saved By The Bell" diner will also be treated to some seriously good food, according to reports.

That's because the pop-up diner's kitchen will be helmed by Brian Fisher, the former chef at Michelin-starred restaurant Schwa, according to Eater Chicago.

Fisher left Schwa in December to focus on opening his own restaurant, Eater reports.

Though he hasn't finalized a menu, Fisher told the blog that he is looking to serve high-minded food using seasonal ingredients and sustainable methods.

The creators of the pop-up diner, however, have already released the name of some menu items like "AC sliders" and "macaroni and screech," named after characters on the beloved 90's children show.

The diner, to be called Saved by the Max, will open on June 1 inside the former Geek Bar, 1941 W. North Ave.

In a news release, the diner's creator Derek Berry said the chosen space "would allow fans to feel as if they’ve been transported back to Bayside and are fully immersed in the universe of the show."

"The final look of the space is going to be a dream come true and deliver the grand slam nostalgic experience everyone has been waiting for,” Berry added.

The bar will open every night from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m., except on Saturdays, when it will stay open until 3 a.m. Saved by the Max's menu will offer dinner, weekend brunches and late night snacks.

Organizers originally planned to have the pop-up run for one month, but decided to extend the run until August 31 after receiving 4,500 reservations in just 15 minutes.
