CHICAGO — Chance the Rapper was hospitalized and forced to back out of a benefit concert in New York City Monday, Billboard has reported.
The benefit was planned to support the anti-poverty Robin Hood Foundation, according to Billboard. Other rappers stepped up to fill the vacancy.
The Chatham-based rapper tweeted late Monday night that he was suffering a bout of pneumonia.
Chance's newest album, Chance 3, is scheduled to drop Friday.
