CHICAGO — A 16-year-old was shot to death in North Lawndale Sunday afternoon, according to police.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the teen as Nathan Hicks of the 4700 block of West Gladys Avenue.
Nathan was standing on the sidewalk in the 3400 block of West Arthington Street at 3:21 p.m. Sunday when a man in a black car opened fire, said Officer Kevin Quaid, Chicago Police spokesman.
He was shot multiple times and was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Quaid said.
The victim was a documented gang member, according to police.
No arrests have been made.
