MARQUETTE PARK — A 21-year-old man died after a drive-by shooting on the Southwest Side Tuesday night, police said.

Around 9:10 p.m., the man was standing in the 7400 block of South Maplewood Avenue when someone shot at him out of a passing vehicle, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was pronounced dead on scene, Estrada said. He had been shot in his chest.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Jeremy Parker, of the 7900 block of South Damen Avenue.

No one is in custody, Estrada said.
