AUSTIN — Chicago's top cop will meet with West Side residents next week at a public safety town hall meeting. 

Police Supt. Eddie Johnson, a 28-year member of the police department, will field questions from local residents from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hope Community Church, 5900 W. Iowa St.

The town hall meeting is scheduled to be hosted by Cook County Commissioner Richard R. Boykin (1st), Ald. Emma Mitts (37th), Ald. Chris Taliaferro (29th) and the Rev. Steve Epting Sr., Hope Community Church's pastor.
