Woodlawn Hit-And-Run Leaves 3 People Injured, Police Say

By Kelly Bauer | April 28, 2016 7:10am

CHICAGO — A hit-and-run in Woodlawn left three people injured Thursday morning, police said.

At 3:23 a.m., a car was driving in the 6400 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when the driver hit another car, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The driver of the second car lost control, hitting a fire hydrant, light pole and CTA sign.

Three people in the second car had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Stroger and Northwestern hospitals. Their conditions were not released but they were listed as "stable," Pacheco said.

The driver in the first car drove away. No one was in custody.
