ROSELAND — A 28-year-old Dixmoor man died after being shot and dropped off at Roseland Community Hospital, police said.
About 5 a.m. April 10, Marcus Smith, of the 2200 block of Spaulding in the south suburb, was dropped off at Roseland Community Hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound, officials said. Smith was pronounced dead at 5:50 a.m. from the wound to his torso, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police are still trying to determine where Smith was shot, Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman, said on Thursday.
No one was in custody.
