NORTH PARK — As Ecuador recovers from a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake, Northeastern Illinois University is collecting donations to assist relief efforts in conjunction with the Consulate General of Ecuador in Chicago.

NEIU is accepting nonperishable food items, tents, sleeping bags, first-aid kits and other supplies — blankets, tarps, clothing, diapers, personal hygiene products, etc. — through May 5.

Drop off donations 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays in the student lounge of the E Building, Room E-050A. Click here for a campus map.
