Austin Shooting Wounds Man, 45, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 45-year-old man was shot in Austin Thursday morning, according to police.

The man was driving in the 1100 block of North LeClaire Avenue at 8:40 a.m. when shots rang out, according to Officer Nicole Trainor, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was struck in his arm and managed to get himself to West Suburban Hospital where he was listed in "stable" condition, Trainor said.

No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing, she said.
