3 Dead, 30 Wounded In Citywide Shootings Since Friday, Police Say

CHICAGO— Three people were killed and another 30 were wounded in shootings across Chicago since Friday, police said.

In terms of fatal shootings from the weekend:

At 1:25 a.m. Sunday morning, a 32-year-old was found unresponsive in North Lawndale with a gunshot wound in his head, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

At 11:20 p.m. Friday night, two men were killed and another wounded when a man opened fire on an Englewood party he hadn't been allowed to enter, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Between Saturday morning and Sunday morning seven men were wounded in Englewood shootings, police said. 

In terms of non-fatal shootings from Sunday of note:

Seven people were wounded in South Side shootings, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

At 7:07 p.m., two men, ages 36 and 31, were sitting on a porch in the 1900 block of South Troy Street in North Lawndale when someone walked up and shot them, Trainor said.

At 2:53 p.m., a 20-year-old man went into the Albany Park District police station saying he had been shot, Trainor said. 

In terms of Saturday non-fatal shootings of note:

13-year-old boy was shot in the 7300 block of South University Avenue in Grand Crossing neighborhood Saturday night, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman.

In terms of Friday non-fatal shootings of note:

At 4:45 p.m., a 1-year-old child was shot in her head while riding in a car in Austin, police said. The child was taken to West Suburban Hospital, then transferred to Stroger Hospital where her condition was stabilized, police said.
