CHICAGO — A 19-year-old died several days after being shot on Monday, police said.

At 11:37 p.m. Monday, Davion Spivey was driving in the 6000 block of South California when someone fired shots through the car's rear windshield, hitting Spivey in his head, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Spivey was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:47 p.m. Wednesday, according to Cook County Medical Examiner's records.

The shooter ran away and no one was in custody, Quaid said.
