Armed Man Robs Western Avenue Business In Beverly, Police Say

An armed robbery occurred Wednesday night in the 10100 block of South Western Avenue in Beverly, according to the Chicago Police Department.

BEVERLY — A man robbed a business in the 10100 block of South Western Avenue at gunpoint this week, according to the Chicago Police Department.

A police spokesman said the man walked into the business at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, pulled out a gun and demanded money from both the register and the someone in the business. The robber then ran off northbound with the cash, police said.

Police responding to the scene checked the area but were unable to find the robber. No one is in custody, and detectives are still investigating the robbery, according to police.

The robber is described as a black man, between ages 25-35, about 5-foot-8 and weighing between 175-185 pounds, police said.
