EDGEWATER — Edgewater is a pretty hot neighborhood these days.

So hot in fact, in a recently aired NBC "Chicago Fire" episode the historic Broadway Bank building was on fire.

Beginning at about the 10:20 mark, the show's firefighters can be seen zooming down North Broadway in Edgewater Glen — showing off Whole Foods, the Edgewater Library and neighborhood favorite, Patio Beef.

For the scene, the Broadway Bank had been noticeably transformed into "The Vault Bar" in the days leading up to filming.

As rescue workers race into the building to assist, they discover a fire — but that part was filmed somewhere other than the Chicago landmark building.

Outside, snow fell the day the episode "On The Warpath" was filmed.

Other local businesses like Independent Spirits, Bark Bark Club and the spot where a new wine bar will open this summer, were all in full view.

In the background hung Edgewater's "Live On The Edge" banners.

Check out the episode below (and photos from our gallery above), which includes actor Taylor Kinney — fiancé to Lady Gaga and known to be pretty smokin' hot himself.
