Riverdale Shooting Injures Man, 18, Police Say

CHICAGO — An 18-year-old man was injured in a Riverdale shooting Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The man was walking in the 13000 block of South Drexel Avenue around noon when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was shot in his right leg and was taken to Roseland Community Hospital in "stable" condition, Pacheco said. Police could not detail the extent of his injuries.

No arrests have been made.
