CHICAGO — Work on the northbound Red Line tracks will cause trains to run express from Sheridan to Howard this weekend, according to the CTA.
Trains will begin running express from Sheridan at 10 p.m. Friday and will continue to do so through 4 a.m. Monday, the CTA said in a news release. The work is being done as part of the Wilson station rehab project.
Howard-bound customers at Wilson, Lawrence, Argyle, Berwyn, Bryn Mawr, Thorndale, Granville, Loyola, Morse or Jarvis will need to board a 95th Street-bound train to Sheridan then transfer. Any Howard-bound customers that want to exit at one of the effected stations should travel to Howard then transfer to a 95th Street-bound train, CTA said.
To accommodate riders, the No. 151 Sheridan bus will run overnight this weekend between the Sheridan Red Line station and Clark and Devon, the CTA said.
Regular 'L' service will resume in time for Monday's commute, according to the CTA.
