UPTOWN — Staff from the Secretary of State's Office will set up shop in the 46th Ward Office Thursday.

Jesse White's office usually visits the office at 4544 N. Broadway twice a year to make it easier for residents get driver's licenses or state IDs. The staff will be there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., said Ald. James Cappleman (46th).

The IDs may be free of charge if you're 65 and older, have a disabling condition or currently experiencing homelessness.

A basic driver's license is $30 or $5 if you're between 18-20. State IDs are $20 or $10 for those under the age of 18, according to the Office of Jesse White's website.
