WICKER PARK — Three bars and restaurants are having parties on Thursday and candidates in Tuesday's primary election will be available to meet with voters at Roots Pizza at a gathering sponsored by several neighborhood groups.

Meet and Greet: Set for 6 to 7 p.m. at Roots Pizza in East Village, 1924 W. Chicago Ave., the Candidate Meet and Greet will offer a chance to ask questions to those running in the Illinois State Senate 2nd District race, the Illinois House of Representatives 4th District race and 1st Ward Committeeman race.

• State Rep., 4th Dist.: Cynthia Soto and Robert Zwolinski
• State Senator, 2nd Dist.: Angelica Alfaro and Omar Aquino
• Democratic Committeeman 1st Ward: Joe Moreno and Maria Teresa Gonzalez
• Democratic Committeeman 2nd Ward: Tim Egan
• Republican Committeeman 1st Ward: Mark Calonder

Revel in Records: The Revel Room, 1566 N. Milwaukee Ave, is hosting its monthly vinyl listening party. The event runs from 8 to 10 p.m. and will include a chance to win giveaways from Vinyl Me, Please, a record membership club.  There is no cover charge.

Toast to Presidio's 1st Year:  Bucktown's Presidio, 1749 N. Damen Ave. will be celebrating its first year in business from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight, offering $5 food deals and drink specials.  Near The 606's elevated Bloomingdale Trail, Presidio, a craft cocktail lounge and restaurant, opened last March.

Tex-Mex Party: High Noon Saloon, 1560 N. Milwaukee Ave., will celebrate its three-year anniversary with a Negra Modelo beer tasting from 7:30 to 9 p.m. followed by free live music from 9 p.m.-midnight. Sarah VonderHaar, a Chicago-based actress/model/musician known for her stint on America’s Next Top Model, will lead an open mic-style show with other local musicians.

The saloon will offer $3 tacos, $3 Casa Noble tequila cocktails/shots and $5 Negra Modelo drafts during the party. There is no cover charge to attend. The bar closes at 2 a.m. and the full Tex-Mex menu will be available until 11 p.m. on Thursday.
