CHICAGO — It could be the warmest week so far this year for the city with highs close to 70 degrees.

Monday will have temperatures in the mid- to upper 50s, and Tuesday will reach the upper 60s — and might be even warmer, said AccuWeather meteorologist Tom Kines.

Wednesday will be sunny and will also hover around 60 degrees, and the rest of the week will be warmer than usual, Kines said.

"We've got a taste of spring coming up this week," Kines said. "I suspect if one of those days is going to hit 70, it's probably going to be Tuesday."

No snow is expected this week, though there could be rain and a thunderstorm on Tuesday and Wednesday, Kines said.

"A lot of people should be happy over the next few days," Kines said.
