EDGEBROOK — A St. Patrick's Day 5K race will raise money to send students from St. Mary of the Woods School to Washington, D.C., organizers said.

The St. Patrick's Day-themed 5K race is set to start at 8 a.m. March 12 at the Edgebrook Catholic school's parking lot, 7033 N. Moselle Ave., and will wind through Edgebrook and Wildwood before finishing back at St. Mary of the Woods.

The race fee is $25 for adults and $15 for children age 8-17, while those younger than 7 can run for free. Registration is available online.

Proceeds from the race will fund a trip to Washington, D.C., for next year's graduating class of eighth-grade students, organizers said.

Seventh-grade students will be manning the course and cheering on the runners, organizers said.

Runners can pick up their race packet from 3-6 p.m. March 11 in the parish hall or on the day of the race starting at 7 a.m.
