Gurnee Man Charged With Attempted Murder in Shooting at The Shrine

CHICAGO — A Gurnee man has been charged with attempted murder in a South Loop shooting.

Cameron White, 25, allegedly shot and wounded two people Feb. 20 in front of The Shrine nightclub in the 2100 block of South Wabash, according to a Chicago Police news release. The Shrine permanently closed after the shooting.

White got into an altercation with security at the club and was kicked out, according to police. He allegedly returned later in the night and fired a gun at a car, hitting two people. A 29-year-old woman and 34-year-old man were wounded in the shooting.

White faces attempted murder and aggravated battery charges, according to police.
