RAVENSWOOD — It's been a relatively mild winter so far, but it's still not golf weather — even if there were an open course.
Newcomers to the sport and those looking to up their game now have a place to work on their driving, chipping and putting indoors — Golf 312, at 1967 W. Montrose Ave.
Run by Professional Golf Association teaching professional Chris Beedy, Golf 312 offers private lessons, memberships, practice sessions and the opportunity to play nine or 18 holes on a virtual course.
In promoting Golf 312, Beedy said his goal is to make the center accessible to golfers of all skill levels, from duffers whose main goal is to get the ball airborne, to more experienced players looking to lower their handicap into the single digits.
Through Feb. 29, Beedy is running a grand opening special — get half off your first lesson (normally $75) and 15 percent off all lesson programs.
