Police Search for Man Who Allegedly Fondled Underage Girl

GRAND CROSSING — Police are looking for the suspect of a sexual abuse reported in Grand Crossing Tuesday afternoon, according to a community alert released Thursday.

Around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, police said, an underage girl was taking out the garbage behind a building in the 6400 block of South King Drive when a man grabbed her from behind and fondled her.

The girl broke free and called for help, at which point the suspect fled northbound on Calumet Avenue toward 63rd Street, police said.

Police described the suspect as a dark-skinned black man wearing a multi-colored skull cap, a black jacket, black pants, black boots and red mittens.
